Safety and comfort first, meaning LED maneuvering lamps are a must-have for truck lighting.
WESEM has expanded its product range with a maneuvering lamp from the CRP1 family. It serves to illuminate
the area to the side of the vehicle. Equipping a vehicle with maneuvering lamps, and thus ensuring
better visibility, helps avoid accidents or collisions with obstacles and increases driver comfort
when performing maneuvers.
Practical, though still not widely used, lighting in trucks
are maneuvering lamps. They provide an additional amount of light to the side of the vehicle - the
WESEM maneuvering lamp has one of the highest luminous fluxes on the market for this type of lamp -
when performing slow maneuvers (up to 15 km/h).
With the large dimensions of vehicles and poor lighting conditions, reverse light does not reach
everywhere it is needed. Therefore, an additional lighting solution for the side of the vehicle
in trucks, commercial, utility, or emergency vehicles is gaining
popularity. By providing better visibility, the lamps help avoid collisions with obstacles
and accidents, which directly translates into lower vehicle repair costs
and driver safety. Maneuvering lights used on public roads must have homologation. In the homologation description, it is marked with the function “ML”. The lamp is most often mounted to the chassis of a truck, trailer or semi-trailer. There are no special requirements regarding the layout, however, you should
check the manufacturer's guidelines for proper and compliant installation.
The lighting is activated when starting a reversing maneuver or manually by the driver. When
driving forward, the lamp can be switched on during slow maneuvers performed by
the vehicle at a maximum speed of 15 km/h.
