SMART 6V/12V 15A A86 Charger is the first battery charger on the market with a microprocessor control and management system in PWM technology, with the ability to charge batteries up to 6V and 12V and the option to select non-standard battery voltage types. Thanks to intelligent parameter settings, it allows for the regeneration of a discharged battery.

Intelligent operating modes:
Constant Voltage: Uses constant voltage to charge the battery, checking if the charging current is not too high and reducing it during the process.
Constant Current: Means that the battery voltage is lower than the charger's set voltage, but the charger will maintain a constant charging current for the battery.
Trickle Charge Modulation: When the battery voltage approaches the set voltage and the charging current is low relative to the set current, it will switch to floating charge modulation mode. This means the battery is charged, but is constantly checked for voltage drops and automatically recharged with modulated current.
Floating Charge Modulation: This mode will maintain the battery's fully charged state.

Protection functions:
Overheating protection: When the charger's temperature exceeds 150°C, the charger will stop charging. When the temperature drops to 80°C or the charger is turned off for approximately 10 minutes, the battery can be charged again.
Short-circuit protection: In case of a short circuit in the circuit, operation will automatically stop. This will be indicated by a long audible signal. You should then connect it correctly to automatically resume charging.
Reverse-connecting protection: When the terminals ( +/- ) are mistakenly connected in reverse, the charger will signal this with intermittent long audible signals. After correct terminal connection, charging will resume.

Charging process:
The charger's charging process is based on a pulse charging system - charging for 5 seconds, then interrupting charging for 1 second, causes most of the oxygen generated during charging to become electrolyte. This method not only limits gas generation but also allows the charger to repair a sulfated battery.
When the charging indicator displays 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, it shows the battery's charge percentage:
Flashing - when the battery capacity is too low, the charger will warn of too low voltage by flashing on the display. After the charger repairs the battery, it will display the normal charge level again.
Audible signal - when the battery is fully charged, a cyclic audible signal will appear every minute.
When the charger is started, it will default to intelligent charging mode. Each time you charge, this product scans and tests the battery. For the battery test, a battery will be displayed on the screen. The charger will then enter a mode (repair “repair”, maintenance “ maintenance” or sustain “maintain”).
