FLIP CHIP LED - is an innovative LED chip mounting technology that eliminates many disadvantages characteristic of technologies commonly used on the market :

1. In a conventional LED diode, significant amounts of heat are dissipated through the front of the diode
2. In a FLIP CHIP type diode, most of the heat has been successfully dissipated through the substrate, which allows for more efficient heat dissipation.

A conventional LED diode exhibits high thermal resistance due to the low thermal conductivity of the sapphire substrate.
Significant amounts of heat are emitted from the active layer through the front of the diode, the encapsulation material, and then dissipated into the air.
The Flip Chip technology diode is designed on a thermally conductive substrate with metal connections,
to create a better path for dissipating most of the heat through the substrate. Thanks to this solution, a light source
using FLIP CHIP LED technology is significantly cooler. This allows for the elimination of expensive and large heat sinks, and greater freedom in
designing lighting solutions.

A problem hindering light extraction from the chip are metal contacts that cover part of the light-emitting surface. In classic LED diodes, losses associated with the conventional mounting method reach 20%. This problem does not occur with flip-chip mounting, which does not use wire bonding for LED chips.

Thanks to the use of the latest technology with FLIP CHIP diodes, it was possible to design a small-sized bulb (the small bulb base allows installation in very small lenses, e.g., in Fiat Punto II, where most LED bulbs are too large), while also embedding circuits inside to deceive the canbus system in cars (e.g., Opel Insignia does not display a burnt bulb error). The high luminous efficiency of FLIP CHIP diodes along with a high current intensity of 2.5 amps, at a voltage of 14.4V, allowed us to obtain over 5000lm from a single bulb. The small construction, narrow bulb base, and lack of external components (module/driver) allow for much simpler installation in most cars than with competitor bulbs.
