Snap-Fixing Rectangular Cable Ferrite
From Richco, these snap-fixing ferrite cores are designed to be attached to cables to reduce electromagnetic interference from induction or radiation. The ferrite is housed in a Nylon 66 carrier, which simply snaps around the cable and is supplied with a cable tie that can be used to prevent the ferrite from sliding along the cable once secured to the integral mount.
Applications for Snap-Fixing Cable Ferrites:
• Rectangular ferrites are suitable for data cables, e.g., telephone or signal lines.
• Round ferrites are suitable for power cables, e.g., on copiers, printers, and other office equipment.
Split Ferrite Rings
These split ferrite cores reduce electromagnetic interference from induction or radiation from data and power cables. High attenuation ratings are achieved due to the housing design and special process steps during ferrite manufacturing. The special snap-lock makes the ferrite sleeve suitable for use with various cable diameters, and once the split ferrite is locked, it cannot be accidentally opened. The external housing is designed to protect the core halves from breaking and provides simple assembly on cables that are already installed or equipped with connectors. Attachment to the cable using adhesive or a cable tie is optional. Typical applications for these split ferrite cores include data or power lines used in computer technology, terminals, industrial controllers, medical engineering, and office machines.
