Automotive LED projectors primarily provide a lot of light, with a well-focused, non-blinding light beam for road use. The advanced optics of these projectors (especially bi-LED), a curved light-cut-off shield, and the entire chipset used inside, create a properly distributed and wide light beam.
With the factory-mounted clear lens, the light cut-off is nice and sharp.

If you don't have the space or simply the patience to deal with all the necessary equipment that, for example, powers HID-based systems (xenon kit), then this is a sufficient reason to look into LED projectors.
